oxygen sensor bung instal question HELP!

ok finally got the wideband mostly installed but still lack the oxygen sensor bung welded on. too it to a local shop and they had no idea how to do it. i dont really either, so do i drill the hole out or use a cutting torch? it will be on the drivers side near the factory sensor. will the molten slag hurt my converters. he said that the downpipe was stainless steel. any suggestions, going back at 2 pm to get it done or try to get it done. thanks

Put mine right next to the factory o2 on the drivers side. The shop used a cutting torch for the hole and then welded the bung to the pipe. I think it took them less than 2 minutes once we found a good spot for it.

If I remember correctly the factory o2 faces the drivers side mine went about 60 degrees opposite of the factory o2.

I did not think about that, so I'm not sure. It seems if it drips down to the convetor that it is possible.

I unbolted my exhaust, drilled a hole, and welded the bung with the exhaust off the truck. I didn't want any metal getting inside there.
