rims for hoosier slicks

Hi,
i was wondering if it would be possible to use the 16x7 rims for the 28/10/16 hoosier slicks. I would like to do this for now until i can get bigger rims. Would my times suffer or would it be unsafe? thanks.

save your time and money till you can afford the proper 16x10" rims.

Like Josh said, get the 16X10's and save yourself a headache.

I run 28x10 Hoosiers on 16 x 8 rims and have what I consider good, "and consistent" 60 ft times. 1.63 through low 1.7's on
Stock Tranny, Converter, Suspension.....

However I rather have 10" rims, and wouldn't want to go thinner
than 8", BUT I don't see no reason you can't try it, IF you already have the tires and rims ? I surly wouldn't go out and buy 7" rims thats for sure

This is what they look like on 8" rims

See how much side wall I have ?

Now look at Gator during a launch, ON 10" RIMS

MUCH BETTER

For now I get by, but would rather have wider.....
