Head Question

I'm building my 99 5.4 and installing a lightning eaton and so on so forth. The reason for the build is that the passenger side head (PI) was leaking water into cylinder #4. the machine shop just called and said the seat was bad that it would be cheaper to by a new one instead of trying to repair the aluminum head. Does anyone have suggestions on what to do? Should i find a used head, buy a new pair with more plug threads, or go aftermarket? if so what do they offer? Please help guys i want to get the project up and running. Oh i had plans for crower stage II cams with those heads too.

It sounds like you are going to do some porting and maybee bigger valves. So you can find a good used head, and install 8 inserts in each plug hole it would save some money.

Just save yourself time and get a set of built heads direct from Partiot with aftermarket cams installed for around 2K
