Cool to be able to make the 11.99 or lower pass

Motor is finally back in the truck with a built bottom end , only took 6 weeks

Had the truck dyno’d with the 6lb pulley and pushed a 480 rwh/600tq

8lb pull to come this Monday, as we were having cpu problems.

I have the apten port job so the question is what is the best pulley for street use as this is a daily driver (mostly highway) the 6 or 8?.

i think it would be more impresive so I would like to be able to make the 11.99 or lower pass at the track without using the nos,
Can I do that with the 8lb or would I have to go to the 10lber.

Any other ideas would be helpful

I have a similar setup to you, just minus the nitrous and no headers. I do have cams and ported heads.

To answer your question I run with a stock upper pulley and an 8 pound lower with the same Apten port.

My Question is how did you only run 12.79@106.4 with 450 hp and 580 torque. And is that 600torque run on the dyno with nitrous?

not sure i did have some chip problems, It seems to me my 60ft times with slicks are hurting me a bit, best 60 ft time was a 1.83,
my times are at sea level with hiumidity at 65%

i hope that with the 2600 stall convertor i will bring the 60ft times down.

the 600torque run was without the nos,
the nos wont be setup till i get a few miles on the new motor.

rob is right, I had some problems so we kept the truck running rich with the 50lb injectors,
I had oringaly had the 95 ml mass and k&n filter, then I upgraded to the JLP intake which thru things off, then came the apten port job,
the right opportunity came to get the block built, so I haven't been back to the track.

I am running a very rich tune right now 10.0 A/F. I love the truck on the street, it's a blast.

My best time so far on the street tune with an A/F of 10.0 is 12.5@111mph....but I am at 5500 feet altitude and the air correction on the night was over 7000 feet. So I would hope to get somewhere in the 11s in good air at sea level. I plan a trip to lower elevation later this year.

As far as the 10 pound pulley, I would imagine it will only produce a vast amount of heat. BTW with my 8 pound lower, Apten and ported heads and cams I see 14 pounds of boost. What do you get?

Well hammer, I have just about what you have.
With a 4# lower, and a 2.80 upper( 1&1/2#'s) or about 5&1/2#'s total, I have run a best of 12.27 in GOOD air!
A 8 # pulley would put you cloooose to a 11.99.

will be running two chips,
#6lber street without nos/ with 50 shot nos
#8lber track without nos/ with 50 shot nos off the line and 50 shot after 60 feet.

with the #6 for the street
my tuner ended up with 480/550tq
he back down the torq quite a bit for the strret.
A/F is at 11.8 at 15 pounds of boost

tunning the 8lb this week, this will be for the track

If you are making 480RWHP and 600RWTQ, you can run 11's all day long just so you know. If you get traction you will have it. Best of luck. -Mat-
