i been wanting to buy a brand new lightning for the past two years. The problem is that here in hawaii there are only two svt dealers and both of them don't take the x-plan. and the lowest they told me they would go is $39***. thats way out of my price im lookin on spending when the x-plan price is around $29***.so tryed calling an auto broker to see if they can. they told me last week $30800 shipped to hawaii ON THE XPLAN. then all of a sudden this week after i get my loan all together they tell me $32800 no lower. i was like what the hell, this is bs. $2000 jump after i get my money. can someone help me out?????? help me locate a good dealer on the west coast that has a brand new 2003 or 2004 lightning that will take the xplan or give me better deal???? red if possible... i see that on ebay there was some brand new lightning going for around $27900...so im hoping to get it around there so it would come out around 30 shipped to hawaii.....PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!

 

Mossy Ford in San Diego does X-plan, but I don't know what they have in stock. Worth a call.

 

I would just go into the dealership with your check for what you were told....usually the statement money talks works well when you are sitting right in front of them....I would think they would want to make the sale and wouldn't turn you down since they did originally quote you that price

I'm not really sure - but I would check into the SVT dealer not taking x-plan. I think that is a FMC thing and all dealers should accept it. Call FMC also and see. You may still come out cheaper buying in CA and having it shipped.

You won't find one in NY to do a X plan, or ANY plan for that matter.

I bought my 03 L off E-bay last month. It was in Wickville, Ohio at Mullinax east. The salesperson I dealt with was Bob Juluis and the whole deal was sweet. Everything was done by mail and I had it trucked to California for $ 850.00 I never saw the truck until it arrived in Los Angeles. It was perfect, clean and had 79 miles on it. As you may know, Matson has a terminal in Long Beach and about $900.00 ships it to Maui. Oahu is less. I live on Maui and faced the same wonderful treatment you've gotten. However, I'm on the mainland once a month so I didn't put up with it. Please e-mail me you name and phone number and we'll get you a nice red L......

I'd be happy to help. Someday the Hawaii dealers are going to realize they can't pack everything $4,000!!!!!

I have purchased 2 vehicles from Mullinax, in Apopka, FL (sister companies) and was extremely happy with the salespeople.

Buy it on the mainland, ship it over to Maui, and be sure to drive in to the ******* dealership ther, and show them the sale they missed.
