Hi, The rubber exterior trim has come loose around my L's windshield. Tried to simply press the backing into the channel, but it comes right back out within a day or two.

I didn't want to start slapping Elmers in there until I checked with my L brotherhood. Any experts out there who can recommend a sealer or glue to go behind the windshield trim and keep it firmly in the channel? Thanks, Ken

My truck was a week or 3 old I'm driving on the expressway,
and all of a sudden I hear a midget on the roof smashing it
with a base ball bat
OR SOMETHING ?
I dam near lock the brake up, pull off the road, climb up
on the door jam, and nothing. I'm like WTF ???

I start driving again, all seems fine, I get it back up to
parkway speed (you know anywhere from 80-140) and
all of a sudden there's the got dam midget again smashing my
roof in with a bat
OR SOMETHING ?

Again I pull over, again nothing, by now I'm like WTF is going on.
I drove all the way home looking for that little midget MF with the bat smashing my roof in, You could actually feel the beating on the roof, from the inside, --> BUT NO MIDGET<-- ???WTF ???I was going to shove that bat up his (you know what)

Got home posted about it, Sal jumped in and said
It's the windshield molding, I go out and look, it's sitting perfect,
I'm Like Sal, the rubber is fine, he;s like NO IT AINT, go pull against it.

Sure enough the rubber would sit back down exactly where it belonged, but once you were up to speed, I guess the thing came out and whipped the living schitt out of the top of the roof, as you slowed down, WAM it would go back where it belonged

Scariest sound I've ever heard.................

I glued it on with WHATEVER was in my shed, and it's been well over 2-1/2 years with no more prob's. I prob used Goop or the other molding contact like stuff in the tube

I'll never forget that sound (I'd swear someone was up there)

 

 

This had me rolling on the floor!
