My new 03 L

Hello, I just bought my brand new white 03 L 3 days ago. I am absolutly in love with my new truck, but I have noticed that there is a groaning noise that sounds like its coming from the rear end when changing from drive to reverse and vise versa, I was wondering if anyone new what this could be or if I'm just being paranoid, thanks guys

My 03 does that when I haven’t driven it in a while. I have it parked in my garage and when I go to drive it, say on the weekend, and I put it in gear even with my foot firmly on the brake it will move maybe an inch or so and make a “groaning” from the brakes since they are applied.

If you do not think that is it, or are concerned about it you can always stop by the dealer and have them take a look at it…

And welcome to F150.

LMAO…

Well my bed lines up with the cab as well very nicely. Mine don’t groan very often only if it has sat for a while like a week or two. Maybe that’s the trucks way of telling me it’s ready to go do some WOT…

WELCOME Frime, and congrats on the new ride.
my 02 likes to groan once and a while to, its the brakes. you'd groan to if someone threw that much power at ya. LOL
just go out & enjoy
P.S.
some times theres a squeeling noise from the rear when you firmly depress the throttle this also is normal.

My 03 makes a fairly loud popping sound that seems to be coming from the passenger side rear. I set up an appointment to get it looked at on the 30th. It started about 3-4 weeks ago and has been gradually getting louder.

BTW, Does your white 03 look anything like this?

If so, nice looking truck!
