Bro I got to tell you, the 13's were a MF for me,
I got more 13 sec runs than Vinny has Mods
OR SOMETHING (hehehehehehehehehe)

I was running 6lbs of pulley and week after week, month after month, I never got out of the 13's (I don't talk about this much),
of course at the time what did I know, I was hot lapping in mid summer.

But then something funny happen, the week after my 3 plug melt down, I went back with the upper removed, running 4lbs only.
While I was in the staging lanes there was an oil down, and I had to shut it down @ an hour. At the same time, the temps changed BIG TIME cause a storm was rolling in, the clouds came out, the air temp went cooler prob 20 degrees and we still had a nice warm sticky track.

Finally let us race again, and WAM my first 12

it was then I truly realized heat kills a L's ET
And now I sit out all summer from racing, and only make passes
in the fall and spring. Thats why I was soooooo pissed after driving 500 miles round trip, that it turned out sooooo hot this yr at the SSOTN Cecil April Event, my truck is clearly setup for cool racing.

WHEN IS JDM DAY AGAIN

THE POWER IS THERE BRO, YOU KNOW THAT

IT IS TOO HOT TO GO TO MOROSO!!!!! Even if your 60 ft was a 1.6, your truck will not go fast at Moroso this time of year. A friend of mine went 13.9 @ 99 at Moroso with his 03 which had a 4# pulley, Chip, intake, ported plenum and ported throttle body. I went to Moroso a few months ago when it wasn't so hot and my STOCK 03 went 13.8 @100. I want to go to the track so bad but I simply refuse to try and run fast when it's so hot out. It's kinda like tryin to race in the rain.......you know there will be no traction so why do it. And yes, the track does suck now that they make you drive through the water. AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO FEELS THAT SICK BRUTAL HEAT WHEN I GO OUTSIDE?

With your mods I figured you'd be well into the 12's... I guess heat really does kill these things, I made my 12 second pass with only my mods but it was pretty cool out. The times kept getting better as the temp got cooler that night.

with all the other L's not running up to par in this heat, i dont feel so bad about my pathetic runs

there was a black and a red one i think that ran against each other every time with 12.8? dial ins.. i think those were the fastest ones i saw all night.. is it anyone from here?

the problem is, down here in south florida, there is about 4 days a year that it gets below 70 I guess that gives me plenty of time to get my mods together and return for revenge

Sounds like you need a JLP Power cooler (& a truckload of ice)
you've got a 12sec truck you just don't have a traction friendly track, and you live in a POOR Performance area(weatherwise)
DON'T give up hope, you just have to find the conditions yet..

I'm serious about the powercooler. do a search guys have made there own versions your area almost demands it.

I thought I was the only one having bad luck at Moroso. Here were my times from about a week ago. Mods in my sig.

BTW- I'm in the left lane on all 3. The pic is a little blurry, but the times were 13.6, 13.5, and 13.4 with trap speeds of 99, 98, and 99. 60fts were 2.2, 2.0, and 2.0.
