warranty almost up..

so it's that time to take it in and get all the dumb things fixed.

here's my list so far:

Appears to be some type of dried oil stains on both valve covers - Possibly valve cover gaskets.

Rear window seal - I was hoping the original would leak. it hasn't, but it sticks out of the molding.

Driver's side seat belt - On the top, near where the adjuster is located a small ticking sound happens when driving. Right by the ear.

Neutralize exhaust - Maybe this is normal, but if i have a cup in the center console, it shakes around pretty good. Somewhere I read that neutralizing the exhaust can remove some of the vibrations.

Unforuntately, this is enough work for an overnight or two. I have to pull out the stereo, or someone else most likely will!

was supposedly some fix for a vibration in the cab. there is a tsb on it.

basically, they loosen the exhaust bolts, put it in drive, then tighen them back up.

haha, that's called, "warranty-itis"

(prounounced like an illness or disease. you know like bronchitis with your lungs)

everybody's car always get sick right before the warranty expires.

I can read you the invoice now.

line 1. no problem found

line 2. normal vehicle operation

line 3. unable to duplicate

line 4. test drive did not verify customer concern

good luck

later,
chris
