What the heck is up with Red Lightnings and the city of Baltimore?

A friend of mine is thinking of getting a Lightning. He lives just outside of Baltimore.

He did an inventory search on the Ford web site and the majority of Lightnings at the numerous dealerships are RED.

I didn't believe it so checked it out for myself.

You folks in Baltimore seem to really like Red Lightnings. . .why else would your local dealers order so many?

Who here is from the Blatimore area? Do you own Red?

There's so many red Lightning's at the dealers, because all of the other colors were purchased first.

 

I took me 2 months here in Balt to find a SGM L! All I found were used Red Ls everywere.

 

took me 3 days to get my sonic blue...there was a red one at the dealer when i took delivery.

also i havent seen any L's around the dealerships by my home...and if i do see an occasional one...its black or silver on the dealer lot...mostly black on the street.

 

Why would ANYBODY want a RED L is beyond me.
