Coil Overs?

Hey, Guys,

Are there any Coil-Over conversions available for a '99 L? I ain't really keen on Leaf Spring suspension, and would much prefer the full racing experience by fitting coils!

Any help much appreciated...!

it would probably take some fabrication, but this might work:

and the coilovers:

you would have to add some sort of crossmember for the upper coilover mount, but it would be cool, and definately help launches.

Just so you will know.... you will not be able to run in Top Truck class:

SUSPENSION
OEM type suspension system for body used required. Aftermarket springs, shocks, control arms or traction bars permitted. Leaf spring vehicles may not convert to coil springs.

If you plan on racing in any of the Fun Ford events you might want to check the rule book here: http://www.funfordevents.com/index.p...818d50a2a51d5c

I would also check the other sanctioning bodies, IHRA, NMRA and NHRA.

Even though this sounds like a good idea it could limit what/where you can race.
