Ride height

I just picked up my '04 Lightning last week and had a few questions. I want the truck to sit level and the rear needs to go down 2". I ordered a set of Eibach lowering shackles, while I was waiting for them to come in I put about 300 lbs. in the bed to make it level. I found the ride quality a lot better with the weight in the bed. Does anybody know a way to soften the ride as well as make the truck level? Do I need a different spring or can mine be modified? Any info would great.

Thanks,
Syd

OK, here's what my friend FRANK'S RED 03 did with his L. He purchased a friend's 2001 set of springs which he wasn't using anymore since he got a Hotchkins set up. Frank slapped them on himself and then threw on a set of 2" shackles. These two changes will magically make your L level, corner better and ride smoother than the stock 03 springs. Hope this helps, good luck!
