Overheating question?

Luckily this is not my lightning. This is an 03 cobra question just couldnt find an 03 cobra forum. I just know some of you guys have 03 cobras also. My buddy has an 03 cobra and it all of a sudden started overheating. First of all i was wondering if the cooling system has to be purged manually after being refilled? What else could cause an overheating problem if the T-stat and water pump is good??

yes, there should be a bleeder on the bypass tube.

if you didn't fill the system through or at least have the bleeder open when filling the system, then you have LOTS of air in there.

do not drive the car. open the bleeder and fill the system properly.

good luck.

later,
chris
