Video of Lightning vs. Dodge SRT 500hp...

This Lightning I am sure has some mods...he runs about a 12.52 according to the site I found this on. The Dodge ran a 13.5.....sad for 500hp. Either way, the Lightning cant have very many mods to run about a second(or less) quicker than stock.

This Dodge gets owned so bad. Check it out.

Ya know...my buddy has 94 viper and he just went to a viper club dyno day in Indy (He made 450HP 547TQ and he mentioned something interesting. He said alot of the new vipers are only putting out about 380 at the rears on average (including the one that was there). That may explain the times in the SRT 10. If so, dodge is gonna hear a lot of bitching very soon.

i know a guy that had a 2003 L with 4lber and cai

he has sold the L and now owns a srt-10

his nephew has told me that the power is there

it just takes a good driver to use it

12 second passes are easy says the owner (i believe him)

I dont see that happening unless something is up with the dyno. Ive seen atleast 3 SRT-10 Vipers dyno at 450rwhp+ bone stock. Plus Ive seen one stock SRT-10 hit a 11.9@123mph at a local track ,and I doubt he is doing that with only 380rwhp.

It's not the horsepower, it's the fact the the truck weighs about 3,000 lbs more and has 22" wheels. That's what's making them about equal when both are stock.

Tests on the truck showed a quarter mile time of 13.6 in the SRT-10. This is from professional drivers. Actually, Motor Trend Road Test I believe.

Stock 380 HP Lightnings (not the concept) have a slightly quicker 0 to 60 than the SRT-10 at around 5.4 seconds or so and are only about 2 tenths slower in the quarter according to Motor Trend.

With a 120HP difference the weight is a huge factor. The Dodges arent all they are cracked up to be. Plus, I didnt see any smoke from the tires or hear any squealing from the Dodge. So, he had to be getting on it.

i'm not trying to dis the L but the dodge has more power then the so called pros at motortrend got out of it. don't worry about loseing to one on the street. chances are he wont race for fear of a break down (you know how dodges are)

Well, I agree it does have 500hp and the L only has 380hp. But, whatever mods the guy did to the L worked. Because the Dodge got spanked BAD...
