******* Lid Locks

I don't really like their locks, every time you want to get into the bed you have to unlock one side and then walk around to unlock the other side. And sometime the keys aren't that easy to get into the locks. Has anyone done anything to make their ******* lid's lock mechanism like snugtops new remote pop open lid? If so please let me know what and how you did it. Thanks.

I seldom ever lock mine. Never had it blow open yet (too much weight). As for security...if someone wants in they would have no problem breeching the flimsy locks and would likely do extensive damage to the bed.

Not much help here but depending on the way the installer set up you locks (unless you self-installed the cover) it helps to adjust them so counterclockwise unlocks both sides and clockwise locks both sides (like a nut on a RH threaded bolt). At least it cuts down on turning the locks this way and that, not sure if it's locked or unlocked.

I dont lock mine unless there is something in there. I have been thinking about installing a remote actuated bed lid opener so I wont ever have to use the locks again...just push a button.

KB Zilla, where were you gona get the actuator from. Would it be easy to hook it up to the stock keyless system? If so all you would have to do hopefully is splice into some wires wire and buy a different remote, right? Thanks.

I see them advertised in the truck magazines for about $400.

I havent researched it enough to see if it could be linked to the stock keyless. Hopefully it could be.

Sorry to get your hopes up on just a whim that I had.
