I think that change happened after the 2003 model year started.

Stan is running a one-of IRS suspension on his Gen2 Lightning.

The original framing was from that dude up in Washington or Oregon that did land-speed racing, but it needed alot of rework and fitment to be able to get the adjustments that Stan needed.

I remember the guy out west was selling it for $5000 for just parts. lol. Its got pieces of Jaguar, Thunderbird and more in it.

What subclass in the Stock class are Lightnings classified as? I was thinking of showing up at a local parking lot event, but they want us to know the class ahead of time. I see that the 03/04 Cobras are in the AS section.

FS = FStock. V8 rwd, also includes mustang gt, Z28, Formula, T/A(non-ram air cars)

You may get bumped to BS if there are no FS cars. BS includes Camaro SS, T/A WS6, S2000, RX8, and 350Z.

There are other cars in both classes but the are the common ones.

Exclamation

All of the 1%ers need to sign up for Lightning/Harley TruckFest, and run the Open Track and Autocross on Sunday 26 Sep at HPT Topeka. The time to register is now before the price increase 1 July.

You guys need to come EAST where the majority of the Lightnings and Tuners are. None of use want travel 1500 miles for an event.

Besides! Do people really live in Kansas? Other than Dorothy and Toto?

Congrats on your placement!!

Wow, that is a sweet ride and turn. What tires do you have during that turn?

I just got done with my first SCCA event and was wondering what class you guys are all in? They put me in ESP and I placed 3rd (PAX) and midway in overall time - plus it was raining most of the day :S I was floored with how well the lightning did for being a truck!

Thanks.
