Lakewoods/slicks

I have lakewood traction bars and i was wondering if i run a full slick set-up with they be good enough and keep me from replacing my driveshaft. Also if they are good enough how close should i put the snubbers to the leaf spring. By the way my snubber is about one inch behind my front eye spring, is this normal? thanks for the help

I run the slick / lakewood combination that you are sugesting . It works great and I have no problems. Your placment sounds about normal for an L as the exaust prevents you from having them contact the spring eye. If you ever haul ar pull a traler with your truck you will want to leave about an inch of space. You can run less if you dont put weight in it.
I hope this helps.

svt4me.... thanks for the help but how close should i have the snubber to the leaf spring. Some say half inch others say to have it right on it. What is your take on this.
