Post 2004 Lightning max hp

I have a 2004 Lightning , its not broken in yet but i was wondering what is the maximum Hp i can push out of it safely and the Max Psi also. Im just starting to learn about these trucks , this my first one and man do i love it compared to my 00' Harley. So your guys help would be greatly appreciated. Also one other question i have 22"Bazo B2's on my truck with Toyo Proxes 295/30/22 they hook up pretty good but how much do you think they will slow me down in the quater. There not that heavy. But still. Let me know what you guys think.

I know Tim Skelton will chime in with the search button ...but before he does:

They "say" that a SAFE tune, 500hp is obtainable. There's a few people running the Lightnings to 11.30's on stock block - but not many!

...and your 22" wheels will slow you down tremendously. They're rotating mass, in addition to unsprung weight. You're best bet is to swap them out for a DR (drag radial) or similar at the track.

Hope that helps. BTW, congrats on the purchase!

I'd say about 475hp to no more than 500 (at the crank) is gonna be the limit for a "reliable" daily driver that's expected to see 75k+ milage. (14-15psi)

www.miloc.org chat here www.miloc.org/forum

Michigan Lightning owners club.

I had mine tuned by JERRY from SCT (Excellenet tuner) near Metro Airport.
The place is called Dyno Daves, But Jerry just uses his shop when he has to tune. He travels all over the USA tuning cars/trucks for car clubs and such. we are just lucky enough that he lives here in Michigan (detroit)
