$37k...I think not. And the short bed is pretty homely looking.

Oh well. Old news anyway.

hahaha! i watched it before i left for work. first off its a rare truck, so there wont be many built because it is a side project kinda like roush. second yea its supercharged but only makes 10 more hp, and 25 less pound ft of torque than a stock lightning, and even with a six speed 0-60 times arent much to drool over "6.0".
chevy is trying, but keeps falling short, id like to see them super charg that ss silverado to about 425 hp, and make the drivetrain strong enough to support it. it would probaly still be slower than a lightning but not by a whole lot, and with the AWD system there is no need for slicks so it would be impressive on and off the street.

plus already posted
Joe Gibbs silverado 390-Hp/425-Tor

And Spike backed it up with HPTV doing an '03 Cobra Hypertech / Pulley swap.

Sorry. I missed all the shows yesterday.

But you're right about that truck falling short everywhere except the ballooned price tag. When I read that post yesterday about it, I kinda liked the look of the extended cab. But the increased weight would make that thing more of a sled than the short bed.

Well i belive John colleti was right when he said we need to stop focusing on high hp numpers rather focus on the hp/weight ratio

and he said this to the heads of the gm, and dodge preformance depts. it was an article in the last svt booklet that came out, werry good read, and well written to.

It's a decent truck. Stick shifts are fun. I still don't see why Cheby can't just make a decent, light, powerful, regular cab SS.
