New best time - LOL

Well, I hit a new best today at the track, pathetic as it is. Was about 85 degrees, tire pressure at 21PSI. Stock 2001, except for a PSP FASTair. Still haven't been able to get the truck dyno'd, and wasn't able to change the fuel filter like I'd planned.

Hoping it's a combination of driver error and the fuel filter. My trap speed still sucks. But my 60FT went from a 2.4-2.5 to a consistent 2.2x.

60FT - 2.200
1/8 ET - 9.328
1/8MPH - 76.78
1/4 ET - 14.506
1/4MPH - 95.12

Kinda frustrating, there was two other L's there, stock except for an exhaust, running at the slowest a 14.3. Maybe I'm just really, really bad at driving. One guy was racing for the first time, so I dunno.

You need to get your 60 foot time down....

2.2 is BAD ... You need to get it under 2.0 on f1's and then get some slicks and get it down near 1.9-1.85

You will be in the 13's then...

Your enjoying yourself Duende
THATS ALL THAT COUNTS, CONGRATS ON YOUR BEST ET YET

As Doug said, get that 60 to 1.9 - 2.0 on F-1's and you'll be
MUCH faster

Still a great feeling no matter how fast you go aint it

Your trap speed seems slow to me. My buddies stock 2000 L was doing 99 to 100 mph and running 13.8's on the 1/4 mile on like 85 degree weather with similar 60 ft as you.

As you say it might be the fuel filter or your cats are overly restrictive. Try a removing some weight from your truck next time: spare, tailgate, hitch. and ect.

Keep working on those launches and you will get your first 13 soon.

Have fun at the track

Slicks don't always cut it...have two freinds with slicks, and my 60ft is better than there is. Mine 1.97 on F1 at 36psi, there's 2.01 and 2.09 slicks brand unknown. The only time I've ran 14's is when I drop the psi to 27-29psi on F-1's, put it back to 36psi and ran 13:98 at 100mph.

I'm running with Toyo Proxes, if that makes that much of a difference over F1s. Tires dropped to 21PSI, which I think made a difference over last time. Going from 2.4s and up to 2.2s. Made me pretty happy.

Hopefully the fuel filter will solve the trap speed problem, and experience the rest... I'm having a blast.
