Racing Debute

I and my L made our first trip ever to an 1/8 mile strip. After driving 90 min to the strip with very little cool down time. we made our first run. The L turned over 2000 mi. going down the track first run. The first run was against another ford f-150 with a 5.4 but not an L. I ran a 8.59 @82.52 .118 reaction and a 2.02 60' I killed my competition by by 2.19.

Next race lined me up against a cobra mustang that some guy trailered in and sounded like it had some serious hp. I couldn't believe it when I launched and he was nowhere in sight. 2 races and 2 kills 2nd run was 8.66 @ 82.25 reaction time of .128
60' time of 2.06 and a kill margin of .47.

The last race I got snake bit. this mustang went by me at the last instant he killed me by .092. I ran a 8.66 @ 82.40 with a reaction time of .195 and a 2.08 60'. After the race the guy came over and I congratulated him on the kill, he then tells me that he thought he was going to lose and the only way he caught me was with a 100 shot of nitrous. that made me feel better.

Mods so far : PSP predator street tune
4# lower
Jlp ram air
ngk br7's
ftvb
magna flow cat back
PSP traction bars and ds loop

I know these times aren't great by some of your standards but I feel good for the first time out, running stock tires and tipping the scales at 5,050 lbs. with my lead butt in the seat. If I can only get that reaction time quicker and a better 60' and maybe a diet?

WTG! But Lordy, Lordy, why does your L weigh that much? My 01 weighs in at 4670 with just the spare, and hitch removed with me in it.

I ran mine across the scales stock equipment with glass tonneau cover, bedrug, cervini's glass hood and 1/2 tank fuel and she weighed 4750. As for the additional I haven't missed many meals for a while.
