I need help from Sonic Blue owners

I'm up to almost 500 miles on my truck, so I'm getting ready to take the trip up to Virginia to get my windows tinted. My friend tints windows for a living, and he is the only one I trust with my truck, so it's worth the 6 hour drive. Anyway, what percentage tint are you all using on Sonic Blue trucks? I'm thinking about 20% on the rear window, and only about 50% on the sides. I like darker tint, but I am not sure it will look right against the blue. Opinions? Also, there was a guy with a SB Lightning a couple of months ago who posted pics of his killer sub box/amp rack with plexi, painted to match, etc. I have searched for an hour now, and I can't find it--anybody remember who it was? Thanks guys!

I have the same truck and like my windows dark as well. I have 15 on the sides and the rear. After 2 weeks we installed lemo (5%) over the 15 on the back to darken it up even more. Now its dark as ****!!!

Wow, that is dark! It looks good-I don't think I want to go quite that much, though. Thatnks a lot for posting the pic!

Keep in mind what the law says is the legal limit for your state. Typically it's 35% for most states. That's not real dark but it might keep you from being pulled over randomly by the cops. If they don't tightly enforce things in your area then you can get away with darker. 25% will be fairly dark and possibly keep the cops away. Any darker and you might be opening up a can of worms you don't want to have to deal with. Just some ideas to think about.

I don't know what my tint % is, but it's illegal here in VA.

not the best pic, but here's a shot from Cecil back in '03.

just curious, are you really gonna drive all the way from SC to VA just for window tint?

who/where are you taking it to?

here's a couple of oldie, but better quality pictures:

later,
chris

Rollin Limp, you are the man! That is the guy I was talking about...thanks a lot.
Superfords: yup, I really am driving up just to get my windows tinted. I lived in Va Beach for 5 years, and I still have a lot of friends there...I worked in the car stereo business, so most of my friends do too. My friend Eric owns East Coast Window Tint, where he does my cars. We used to work together at a car stereo shop in Va Beach. He has tinted my last 6 cars, and I really don't like anyone else doing it. Besides, it's a great opportunity to see my friends again. BTW, I have checked out your truck on your website - that is one of the nicest looking trucks I have seen; all the money you put into it was worth it!

I have 22% on my sides and 13% on the back window of my Sonic Blue 03. In my opinion, that is just right...not too dark, not too light.

I've got 30 on the sides and layed 30 on top of the already tinted glass in the back and I love it. Could probably find some pics if you want em..

This is 20% on the sides and on the back. The back is twice as dark with the factory tint and the 20% on it.
