Lets see your 1/3 drop

I'm currently running 2" drop shakles only.
I feel the need to go a little lower. Let see them!

The pics on my web page are of my 1" 3" drop. (It actually measures 0.75" and 1.5")

How is the pinion angle with the 3"shackles? Are shims needed?

I'm thinking about going this route as well...

I bought some pinion shims but never had to use them..no problems in a year or so.. ps: don't expect another full inch from the 3" compared to the 2". I only got maybe another 5/8 or so. Didn't do a before and after measure.....

Is there such a thing as 3" drop shakles, or is a 1/2 drop shackle
used w/ hanger to acheive 3/4 drop?
If that's the case since I already have 1/2 drop shackles.
Will I only need the hangers for the rear???

There are 3 inch drop shackles, but they do not give you a full three inches of drop. As a 2 inch probably only gives 1.5-1.75 drop. The 3 inch only gives about 2.25 inch drop. I also believe that a 4" drop shackle was made, but didnt drop the back more than three inches. For an '03, best would probably be 3". '02 and older, 2" is fine. I bought the 2" for my '03. Its not enough...but for $35 I just bought it to keep the *** down a bit till my TVS gets here in 2 weeks.

Great looking truck - with the subtle drop and wheels, it looks OEM-cool.

I like those new wheels more and more every day.
