Question ? SuperCharger

As your looking at engine from the front of the truck on the left side on the supercharger there is what appears to be a solenoid. Can this stick open? My truck had no power from the supercharger. The boost gauge would peg out when I accelerated. Any Ideas or has any one had this happen?

Thats the idle air solenoid, it controls the engine idle only, it wouldn`t have anything to do with your problem.

What would cause the supercharger not build up any boost? Is there a valve that could remain open?

On the opposit side is the boost bypass. You can unplugg the electrical and see if that does anything.

Fluid level is good-no brake on. The truck had no power. I would floor it from a dead stop and barely chirp the tires. No supercharger whine either. I checked all the fittings, unplugged the solenoid. Then took the truck out for a spin and she ran great. Smoked the tires until I let up. What could have caused this? Any ideas?
