Question 2" drop shackle install

For those of you that have done this mod to your truck do you have to take the whole leaf spring assembly totally off? Also I have traction bars already on...would I have to take them off as well? Thanks for your responses in advance.

It's very easy and won't effect the bars.

Some searching around here and nloc will net some instructions.

Nope, don't have to take the whole leaf spring assembly off the truck. When I did mine, I did have to loosen it a bit to get the bolt back in since they only go in one way (with the head of the bolt right next to the frame). You may have a different experience on your truck, that's how it went on mine.....

I would be sure to lift the weight of the bed of the truck off the rear springs, before taking the bolts out, by jacking the bed up by the trailer hitch or a piece of board across the spare tire. I almost made that mistake!
