I think the red is the new single position SCT 4 bank chip, see my post on the new SCT 4 bank chip.

So any program (tunes) you can burn on a RED chip, is the same as the BLUE chip and vise-versa? Only main difference is being able to program 4 different tunes on the same chip?

Thanks!

If it is the chip I am thinking it is still a single program chip, but it has 4 banks instead of two on the old chip.

The old chips with 2 banks could only access half of the computer, while the new 4 bank chips can access twice as much of the computer. So because of the extra 2 banks the new chip can control things the old chips couldn't even access.

A example of this on my old chip Jim couldn't get into the mass air peramiters in the computer. With the new chip and the software he has now, he can now get into them and adjust them as needed.

The blue chips are only 1 bank, they can be 2 position, but each position is still 1 bank, they access EEC bank 1 only. And the MAF function IS in bank 1 in all EECs. You've always been able to change the MAF function in any of those blue chips, that is if you had the right software.

The red chip gives access to banks 0, 8, and 9 as well. Although most all of the interesting stuff is in bank 1.
