Lightning Front Brake Question
HI!... I bumped into a guy at the local car show get together. He had a "04" LIGHTNING. I was talking to him and looking over his truck when I noticed his front brakes. The front calipers and caliper brackets are different and alot larger than my buddies "03' LIGHTNING and my "99' F-150 SPORT which has the LIGHTNING brake system. I asked him if they were after market and he told me they were stock that came on the truck. I went to my dealer and the "99" - "03" LIGHTNING's all use the same front brake calipers and brackets. They all have the same part#'s. My "99' also uses that same PART #. The "04" LIGHTNING had a totally different part # for both the caliper and it's bracket. My question is :
Did FORDS's change/upgrade the front brakes on the LIGHTNING? Can I buy the the front calipers and brackets and bolt them on my truck? Are they bigger? By eye, they seem to be.
Thanks for any help on this.

I imagine you could find out (if you dont already know) what size brakes yours has. Compare to 12.1" and there you go
edit: nm, thats just the rotors, you were talking about the calipers.
