Low boost with mods
With the mods I have in my sig. I can only get 10 psi out of my autometer boost gauge. I see another guys with similar mods getting from 13 to 15 psi. I had already checked the setup of the boost actuator and it set correctly. I even measured the 4# pulley to make sure it was really a 4#er and it measures 8.5" so that correct. Anyone have any idea what may be wrong? Is it possible the additional boost is leaking out somewhere? The truck pulls very hard though even with only 10 psi.
Altitude is around 1250 ft. When I was testing my boost gauge it was around 65 degrees out with probably around 80% humidity. That's hoepfully what the problem is. Guess I'll have to wait until late fall for much cooler temps to come in to see what the gauge goes to. Can higher temps really affect the boost as much as 4 psi?
02 Silver,
You and I seem to have very close mods. (4# lower with a ported eaton)
Even when hot lapping a 3rd time on a 65-70 degree day I'm seeing a solid 14 psi.
I'd check you boost bypass set height and then as the others have said, check your vacuum connections.
BTW: How do you like the ZEX with your mods? What tires do you run at the track?

I'm going to check all connections again. Visually I do not see anything loose but I'll check over everything.
wydopnthrtl,
I haven't gotten my truck dyno tuned yet to run the nitrous. You sent me a PM over on NLOC asking about the nitrous a couple of weeks ago.
