Well i've been crusin the boards for awhile now, i use to own a black 2000 Lightning. With that one i made a mistake and sold it, and in the last few months ive gone from fox bodies to sports bikes and nothings the same, finally came back and bought myself a 2004 Black Lightning and cant be any happier!!!

 

What the he!! did you get rid of it for in the first place!!

At least you start out this time with 20 more hp than the '00
Now dont get rid of this one!...........unless the Gen 3 is as bad a$$ as everybody says it will be, then its ok to upgrade.

nice, thats actually what im going to look for as a daily driver, a 1st Gen.

Well my 2000 was used with 27k miles, so this one is a hell of alot smoother. I guess my first one just was beaten on tremendously, this one definatly drives better. Currently im in the process of breaken her in so i dont know if it feels faster, havent even heard the supercharger yet .

 

when my father got his brand new 03 last year and i took it for a ride, it was like night and day compared to my 2000, with at the time, only had 10k miles on it. Not really a power difference, but just the whole ride and handling. If i would have drove them both back to back blindfolded, i would have never believed they were both gen 2 lightnings. And my truck is not beat on. The ride and handling is MUCH stiffer!!!

 

I kissed the stock ride good bye when I dropped it.... I like it stiff though.... I hate body lean, bad for power slides... ... ... i mean safe orderly turns

 

Congrats ! I noticed the difference right away. The 373's were quicker.
