Shackle question

Shackle question

Anyone know what the torque specs are on the leaf bolts and the shackle botls? I want to put in my DJM shackles, but dont know how tight to go.

If I remember correctly the nut size was 3/4" ? If so just torque them to around 75 ft lbs and you'll be fine.

Don't tighten the bolts until it's off the jack or stands and resting on the tires. Otherwise it will put the twist the bushings when dropped down and the suspension loaded.

I put them on today. I went to 65ftlbs to be safe till tomarrow when I can get the spec from the dealer. Although I didnt let the truck onto the ground before I tightend the bolts up, I did let the vehical weight rest on the jack stands and axle and "shook out" the suspension to let the bushings get settled in. College did pay off for me this time! All I could hear was my Suspension teacher saying "always let the vehical weight rest on the suspension and make sure to "shake it out". then tighten everything up."
