shaker hood cleanliness

For those of you guys with a shaker hood. I would like to know if keeping the hood scoop clean has been a problem? I thinking of getting one of these, but I would like to know how much upkeep is needed to keep it looking good.

Very little upkeep at all. Just wipe down every once in a while.

It has a drain hole w/ am L fitting connected to a drain hose so water does not build up if you wash or get caught in the rain.

Not an issue at all.

Thanks Vinnie for the info. I'm glad to hear that the scoop has drain port on it (...as we do get a little of bit of rain in the pac northwest ) BTW... Damn that engine bay is sweet!
