Door ding, options????

yes, it's finally happened, a slight door ding in the passenger side door, it didn't break the paint but needless to say I'm bent, I park in the next county, taking two spaces and still I get a ding. I looked at it for about two weeks now thinking I could live with it, I can't, my truck is a garage queen and untill now perfect. I've heard of paintless dent removial, who's tried it and to what success, anywhere in the tri state area or new england. Thanks guys, Todd

I have used the ding king before. The one you see on TV. It isn't as easy as it looks on TV but it worked. cost a lot less than those services too.

Ask around for recommendations of a dent doctor type place. A Mercedes or Porche body shop or dealer won't be using someone who does poor work. I've had some of the work done for hail dents and door dings and the results are amazing when done by a pro. A suggestion is to remove the door panel yourself before taking it to someone. They are good at taking out dents but lousy at trim work - they usually either break something or drill holes in the door jambs as an option. Take the panel off yourself carefully and tell them no new holes.

PDR if done right will make it look like it was never there. I had 3 dings (one very noticeable) in the fdoor of my Mustang and you can't even tell it was ever there. It cost me $75.00 to have them taken out. It was a bargain in my book.

door dings

Look up "dent" or "ding" in the white pages or body shops in the yellow pages. I've used several different services with outstanding results. Car dealers use them all the time for cars on the lot. Check with the body shop at your nearest large dealer. They'll know someone.
