Exclamation safty loop HELP ME

just bought a METCO drive saftey loop for my 2K L.
i thought it was a complete bolt on that just took 20 minutes
jacked the truck up to find out that i needed to drill holes in the floor under the pass seat.

How safe is it to ride around?
i have Nitto 305/45/ZR18 drags on back ,lowered a total of 4 inches in back(2 inch bell tec shackels+2 inch eibach drop kit)
and im in the 400/500 club
sunday i have a rematch with a WS6
Will i be alright?

I would have gotton the cross member type which is a 15 min bolt on. I got the CE tubular two piece design. If you choose to use the metco design that you have, you will have to pull your carpet back in the cab and ensure no wires are in the way when drill. You will also need a lift or get your truck high enough to drill, It wouldnt hurt to have an extra person in the cab to watch you drill. You will also need to unbolt the rear of your drive shaft and detach the u-joint and slide the metco in place. line it up were there is no interferance, mark your holes with a marker, drill, secure loop and u-jounts back in there brace. And there you have it. It is certainly not a 20 min job.

nope

not a 20 minute job, more like an hour. But my opinion it's the cleaned driveshaft loop offered and it is just as functional as all the rest.

I didn't even think about wires being under the rug, but i just drilled right up through where the floor pan overlaps, put a good bead of rtv inbetween the loop and floorboard, and used zinc coated grade 8 hardware. It's almost impossible to do without 2 people .
