hmm... and I bet they call the cameraman "'Ol Steady Hands"

Wonder what the L had/didn't have done to it... I've never had issues with an unmodded c5.

I'm bettin that was no stock C5. Judging by the blower whine, the L's got at least a pulley change, and it's probably been ported. I know mine wasn't that loud stock. Wish the camera work was a little better.

I don't know I think it all depends on how fast they were going. It's kinda hard to tell but if they were in excess of 100 then you could expect teh C5 to be slightly in the lead. like I said it's hard ot tell but they're definitely moving!

looks to me like 1) the driver of the L sucks or 2) the c5 is far from stock

That is my Lightning. That race was wed afternoon. My truck is an 04 with just a JDM CAI. The vett is an 01 auto and stock. I was ahead of him until about 85 when he started to pull on me. When I passed the camera I was going about 115. The temp was like high 80's low 90's so not the best weather for racing the L. I think with cooler air I wouldnt have any trouble holding him off through out the 1/4. Also where we were racing is out in the country. There are a couple houses that all far away from the road. Before long my truck will have a 4lb and dyno tune so things will be way diffrent Stock eton sounds pretty good with out that stock air box?

Immediatley someone said that the truck must have had some work done to it to sound like that and while I know that mods like a pulley make the blower louder as well as porting, the whole time I was thinking, "my truck's blower sounds like that too" and all I have is an Airaid intake. Even though the truck felt a touch faster with the stock air box, it is that addicting blower scream that makes me leave on that Airaid.....I LOVE IT!!!! Nice video man. Glad no one got hurt.
