Steering wheel diameter?

I've been thinking about doing something different with my steering wheel, but the air bag really limits the options... I mostly wanted something with a smaller diameter, and was wondering what the diameter of the Lightning steering was. I figured it was smaller thus that was the reason Ford used the Ranger wheel rather than the regular F150 wheel, but I don't really know. So, if any would, please tell me the diameter.

I'm assuming that the air bag, and cruise buttons would plug directly into my column, but then again I'm not sure. I might even have to get a new clock spring. Anyone know for sure?

thanks...

i don't know what you are trying to do, however I can tell you this.
A lightning steering wheel will NOT fit on a HD.

I want to put a Lightning/Ranger/Mustang steering wheel in my F150...

So, why won't the Lightning wheel fit the Harley? Is the shaft different or the wiring?
