what degree shim for belltech3/4

what degree shim for belltech3/4

i bought a used drop kit and did not get anyshims from the guy. what degree shim do i want if i put it in the say 3 inch rear drop holes.

i did a search and got tired of reading through all the crap and not actually finding the info i need.

I'm pretty sure he's not doing it to make the truck louder. He got the drop over a year ago & is just now getting around to doing it hwile the truck is immoble anyway. Besides being loud is ok if you can back it up (unlike the ricers fart cans).

you think thats possible

i'm just now doing alot of stuff i've been trying to get around to doing.

I had 7deg change total in mine to get good 60 foots... I used a 3 & 4 welded together. Its not reccommended, but I never had a problem.

I can only speak from what I've been told by a friend who sets up bracket cars.

When under full twist you ideally want the rear end about 1 degree (front end of pumpkin down) differance between the motor/tranny centerline to the pinions centerline. He said you NEVER want it breaking over center. It consumes power and can break the shaft (on very powerfull drivetrains)

I'm not sure how to equate that back to a lightning with lift bars? But that's what I understand the *real* goal is.
