A sad day indeed. Hopefully Ford will not scrap SVT as some rumors have indicated. If so, then this is the end of a great truck.

Just curious, when will final build numbers be released? And when the guy mentioned:

"I grabed the build sheets from trim, Dash line and chassis".......

Where do those usually end up? I'd like to have those from my truck.

The last one was black. That's fitting.

It wouldn't surprise me to see Ford drop the entire SVT lineup. I don't think the SVT vehicles generate much money for Ford and there have always been huge warranty concerns costing Ford big bucks. People have always been content with the slower, less horsepower Mustang GT - it always outsold the Camaro/TA. Ford will sell every '05 Mustang they make no matter how slow it is. Don't get me wrong, I want to see new SVT vehicles, I just doubt I will.

I thought it said "Light Grey" on the bottom of the build sheet.

Indeed a sad day for the Gen 2. Sure hope Ford keeps the SVT line, at least the L and Cobra, and show them Dodge and Chevy boys who's boss.

The bottom of the sheet says 'Light Grey'. can't be the exterior color, since the closest to that is Silver. It's cool to see all of the options coded out though....

top left, second box says "EXT COL" UA
EXT COL means Exterior Color. UA is the paint code for black.

silver - YN
red - E4
black - UA
white - YO

From what I've read, SVT is taking 2005 off to use all that money Ford gave them to knock our socks off with badass vehicles in 06!

Does anyone have a link to the story about that? Someone should post it over there at FTW to show them what is going on!

I stand corrected, I did some research & Grey is a color in '04. Thanks for the info about the correct color code - Black it is!

I know what's going on, but can't say. Know this, the 2006 Lightning is BAD, very BAD.

Gregg, you have any part in design on the 06L? Working transmission magic? I dont need vehical specifics, in fact, i dont want to know til i can buy one, it would only make me count the seconds til i could buy one. just interested to see if you have any great part in the new truck.

Should keep the value up on our Gen 2's though
What scares me more than everything is the gas situation,
ones got to wonder if this performance boom is going to
continue or will we end up like the 70's and will gas prices kill
the performance vehicles, once again

But as said,
I believe 06 will bring us some very nice SVT's
