Siphoning Gas from out tanks???

Can it be done. I know alot of newer vehicles have emissions devices and such and you get get in there.

Reason I ask is I have about a 1/4 tank of 104 right now and would like to take it out.......drive to the track and pump and put it back in.

It can't be done. There is a plastic screen at the end of the rubber hose that goes into the tank. You will not be able to get a siphon hose into the tank. Some people have taken the Schrader valve out on the fuel log and use the in tank electrical pumps to get the fuel out of the tank. I caution the use of this, as any leak could be a problem in a hot engine compartment.

Just tell the truth! You are tired of high gas prices and filling up that tank twice a week.

So it really can't be done? I was gonna go buy a locking gas cap soon because it cost me $50 or more to fill up I was worried someone would steal the premium gas if they knew. But if you can't get a syphon in there then I won't worry.

So there is no way they could siphon our tanks?

Is that screen at the end of the tube on all fords or just on our trucks?
