Extang Sabre installed on a Lightning

Just got my Extang Sabre in and am trying to install it. Directions say nothing, but there are two different types of corners included in the package. Can anyone tell me which ones go where?

There are two which the end points are perfectly squared and two which have one side tapered. No matter which way I try it, it looks bad. I'd hate for this thing to blow off while driving, so any help is appreciated.

I just installed a Saber on my L around the beginning of April, and I'm pretty sure all the corners were the same. When you say that two of the end points are tapered, do you mean the part with the spring-loaded ball? If so, I think that the tapered ends might go into the rear of the side rails, so that you can easily remove the back (tailgate) rail. Just a guess.

I installed my Saber by myself in about an hour, so obviously, I didn't run into any surprises!

BTW, feel free to e-mail me (JazzMastaJ@mindspring.com) if you have any more questions. I check that more often than the forum.

Im pretty sure when I put mine on the tapered ones went on the tailgate. I could tell they were wrong when it was put together. If they are wrong you should have gaps.
