Cobra at the drags
Cobra at the drags
Saw an 04 Cobra at the drags tonight. He took one look at me running in the mid 12's, and hid from me. PS. he was running in the low 13's. It was hot, andslippery, and he was haveng a he!! of a time with his launches. I felt sorry for him. NOT!!
I have raced a couple (one just this past wed.) and beat them BAD both times. They first one was pretty well modded but he couldn't hook up for anything. Same with the other but I had him regardelss. Now, these were older cobras. I know the 03 and up are very fast.

ROB-O2 I tried to help him by telling him how to get that rubber noise reducer ouy of his air cleaner, and unplug his boost bypass. I then asked him for a race, you already know his answer.

04/04 cobra with chip filter pulley vs 02/04 Lightning with chip filter pulley = cobra wins each time.

I'd be careful putting the Mustang crowd down as they are consistently some of the fastest cars with mods. 9 seconds can be had and 10's aren't that hard to accomplish.

I like your signature. Very clean, nice use of color and the perfect size. Yours is a perfect example of what a signature should look like. Did you do it yourself, and with what program?
cobras in the heat
I was just saying that the heat doesn't seem to affect the 03 blown cobras as much as it does the lightnings. Had two former lightning owners that have cobras now at the track with us yesterday. One seemed to be right on his time and another, who just added a kenne bell and a dyno tuned at JDM was running 11.7's on f1's.
Is there any truth to this. Does the heat affect our trucks more than the cobras???

If you ever come to Houston, stay away from the 03 Cobras unless you have a low 11 sec Lightning. I don't know of any stock ones here, and if they are out of Strictly Performance, make sure you are on your "A" game.

Wow, Thanks!
Yes I did it myself with the trial version of Uleads photoimpact XL.
It took a lot of trial and error.
About the stangs, I have beat several cobras but I have been beat by a stang or two
Thanks again.
