10 Second Trucks

Now I know that there are quite a few out there, but I'm not sure how you guys are getting to the races.Do you tow it,drive it,or tow with it?

Would you feel "safe" or "comfortable" towing a car to the events with your ten second ride?

I have a buddy that races quite a few of the FFW events and is contemplating getting rid of his diesel and enclosed in favor of the Lightning and an open trailer.Only catch being the Lightning has to run 10's for him to even want one to begin with, and it also has to be able to pull double duty.

thanks for any opinions

Of course this works.

Ask some info from the Don. His 10 second truck is a near daily street truck and he tows his other SVT

I drove to E-town last year. Ran three 11.0s and drove home.
Trailered to Cecil (more for cool down reasons then anything) ran a 10.99 and 10.76 and drove home.

So yes it is very possible to have a 10 second daily driven L that tows. Not cheap but definately doable.

JDM seems to have the most daily driven 10 second Ls. Don, me, chiken1, SGL...etc.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I'll just tell him it's possible but make sure you have AAA Gold before you go towing a car all accross country with your ten second Lightning.Better cover myself in case because I am going to get the blame if something happens.Would have much rather heard "I put 12 million miles on my L last year while towing the JDM Semi to the events" .... that would have made me felt safer anyways.

Yes i towed my other SVT, but it is Just a Focus that was towed on a tow dolly. I didn't even feel it behind me the 300 miles I towed it.

I don't know how it would have towed with a heavier vehical on a traler, but mine did fine with the foci
