I have the art carr 13 inch, 2400 rpm stall.
Its the second convertor I have had in this truck.
I would say it is just about perfect!

I ran the Art Carr 13" 2400 for better than a year. I was able to get regular 1.6x 60's on slicks with 430 H.P. I also have the Monster Box...which may or may not be helping with my 60's. I have the P.I. now and at times wish I had my Art Carr back. I don't feel it is worth the extra money for the P.I.

Mine worked great.

I had an Art Carr torque converter in my truck in 2002 for a month or so. It was the biggest POS that I ever put on my truck. It was supposed to be a 2400/2600 stall converter. It turned out to be like a 3800 stall converter or something. Also, it took them nearly a year to send me a refund for the POS art carr converter. Very poor customer service. I purchased it from Lightning Force Performance in Texas(LFP).
I have a 2600 stall PI and am happy now. A lot of times you get what you pay for.

I don't know who you are talking to. If it is me I've been busy working on my '91 mustang coupe. T-76 turbo, maximum motorsports suspension, baer brakes, etc. If not, forgetaboutit.

You know I am just busting chops, glad to see you sold that thing, sucks to have a car sitting around not running, i know the feeling.
What day are you going , I can make it on Saturday but have a wedding on Sunday.
Lets do this before we both have built blocks and then we can do it again.

I am sure we can get something together next Wednesday or the one after at Nathans if I get my truck and can get everything back on this Sunday. I need someone to pay for my build

Bought a 10.5 inch for my '02 from ArtCarr at WFC5. Had to send it back twice. The third time was for a refund. They could never get it to stall correctly. Bought a Precision after my money was refunded. Had to send it back after the impeller came apart after only going 4 blocks down the street! Now it sits on the garage floor waiting to get put back in.
Had a Pro Torque in my '99 and had 24k trouble free miles on it when I got rid of the truck.

[I Have No Direct Experience With Art Carr, Nor Will I Ever Buy Anything From Them]

I did some searching on www.Corral.net about a C-4 for my Mustang. I found some extremely negative remarks about Art Carr. I gave them a phone call and they talk a good talk, but I heard enough negative stories about quality and service that I wouldn't buy a wing-nut from them.

Apparently someone bought the company from Art Carr and started putting out crap. You can make a lot of money selling a $700 as a $2500 "built" race tranny.

Buyer Beware.
