Chip or Predator ?
Jimmy, the chip is good if you want the ability to switch between two programs at the flip of a switch. The Predator is good if you want an all around tool. It datalogs, reads codes, allows some adjustments to the tune, and doesn't require scraping the PCM. Also, I can e-mail you reburns instead of you needing to come out here or send a chip back in for a change. Hope this helps.

I've seen the Predator leave you with a truck that wont start 60 miles from home and no vendor help on a Saturday afternoon. The Predator can force the orginal tune if you have the PASSWORD.
Next time before you play make sure you have the password. Call the people who make the Predator or your vendor.

As you know it is not proper to discuss prices here, nor would I as that is my Tuners business.
I purchased mine from Mike Troyer. 540-862-9515. He does all the tuning based on your mods, and any data-logged information that is specific to your vehicle.
I went 11.65 in the Cobra last year with just a 4# lower and his tuned Superchip. I have not made a pass yet since I removed the chip, added the 2.93 upper, and purchased the SCT 9100 as I had other mechanical issues with the car. But last night I installed the "street" tune and put several miles on the car. I guarantee that the 11.65 from last year will be history as soon as I get to the track.
Give him a call and let him answer all your questions. His service is unbeatable..

Im against any chip on these trucks.
If any of the many probs. comes up and you have a chip, the dealer and ford will know, and poss. void your warrenty.
I have#18 of6381 01 white L with 24,000 miles, and just blew out a plug.
After 4 or5 days the service manager called me and said that ford okayed the repair, but if I had a chip they would of cancelled my extended warrenty,
I have the superchips micro-tuner and before I took the truck in I reloaded my stock program.
This saved me thousands of $.
