How much to pay for clay bar??????

Ok guys, normally I don't even notice the price of things like gas, car wash suplies, spark plugs....they are just things you have to buy, but I think I just got raped deliverance style!!!!!

I bought a container of "clay bar" or actually, 3M perfect-it clay. It came to 29 bucks and change with tax! Is this too much? I don't remember paying that much last time. Now, I bought it from my trusty auto-body supply place that usually takes care of me, and being a auto body place, maybe this stuff is better than the normal walmart car care stuff, but yikes!!!

Ok, sorry for the rant, just wanted to know if I should check my **** for bleeding!

Thanks guys...I don't mind paying it if thats the going rate...I just couldn't remember what it went for. I know if worth every penny, my truck see's a lot of highway miles, rain or shine, so the front end is a little rough.

I paid $9.99 at PepBoys for the Clay Magic kit (includes clay bar and spray detailer lube). The comparable Mothers kit was right beside it for the same price.

You got hosed dude.

I checked all the pep boys and stuff, and everyone was like "why would you put clay on your truck?" After four or five places looking at me like I was stupid, I went to the auto body place. Oh well.

It's a wonder half of them can think on there own. If you don't have the yr,make, model, engine size, interior color, etc they can't find a air freshner that fits your mirror, also at our local pep boys you have about a 20% chance of finding anyone that speaks (or understands english)
just anothetr reason I go where I know they have it,My TIME is worth it..

Just got an email from Autopia with a great deal on clay... $6.95 for 1 bar... $12.50 for 2 bars... $18 for 3 bars.
Link.

All you need is a claybar, a spray bottle, water, and car wash soap. Put a little soap in the bottle and fill with water. Voila, there's your lubricant.
