Looking through the search area I only saw mentions of the Ford crank. Does anyone in the aftermarket manufactur a replacement thats stronger, or has a longer stroke? Contact numbers and prices would really be great.
4V and 2V 5.4 cranks are all the same. Lightnigns and navigators have forged cranks, for all other F150's it is a crapshoot whether they get forged or cast.
Some long stroke cranks are available, but they are a waste in this motor. the 5.4 already has the longest stroke of any production motor and very high piston speeds, a stroker 5.4 requires seasonal rebuilds and immaculate construction and maintenace.

So building a longer stroke motor for street use is just dumb and out of the question, unless I plan to do regular rebuilds?

the only 5.4 stroker kit I know of is the one Johnny Lightning runs in his truck.
I'm pretty sure it isn't a daily driver

The Ford forged crank is excellent and should handle all the HP you can throw at it. Im only aware of one person (Sal) breaking one and that was with a huge shot of N20.
