Rear end, want it firmer

As with all our ladies, we want them to have firm rear ends. I noticed this weekend after sliding the rear end out and recovering, that the L is just wayyyy too loose back there. How can I stiffen her up without going crazy.

I have 2" shackles in back, with SoCal endlinks. 1" springs up front and shortened endlinks.

Yes, but it is not the first place that I would look.

Putting on Roush or Hotchkis leafs (stiffer) will probably make the problem worse. Stiffer front springs would help, though.

I would try tire pressure first. It's free and makes a huge difference.

With the Hotchkis full meal deal and about 4 lbs more in the front than the rear, I get just the right amount of understeer to be forgiving and no oversteer in all but the most extreme conditions.

Judicious throttle control.

If you're complaining about fish-tailing under hard acceleration.

How about traction bars?

i don't think i explained the problem correctly. i think most people are thinking i'm talking about 'fishtailing', or the back end swining out . what i'm talking about is after correcting fishtailing, there's a massive 'rocking' back and forth of the rear end. *this* is what i want to stiffen up. so that when you correct a fishtail, the truck responds as a solid unit rather than a jello log.

so you are geting a lot of left to right play in the rear end? Then the phanard bar like i mentioned should keep the rear end from moving back and forth. Might even try some Hotchis sway bars to prevent the body roll.

I agree with the above. It is that kind of thing that the panhard will help with.

And, of course, stiffer springs/shocks/anti-sways will also help.

I used these "http://www.activesuspension.com/index.htm"
They worked for me. However I will still plan to add Ranchero style bars to the rear!
