built motor comming!!!!

truck didnt go boom, but ive got the money together to go ahead and build my truck...but i wanted to ask a few Q's to the pros who have been down this road...and what are some do's and don'ts...well here is my list of parts....

-Built lower
-55lb injectors
-Full exhaust (w/ long tubes)
-Heat Exchanger
-255lph pumps
-FTVB

i already have a KB sitting on top of my motor so i will be go to go boost wise...allthough i run 15lbs i wouldnt mind bumping it up a few lbs...so here is my Q.

once i get all this put together do i have the green light to take off my 4lb lower and swap it to an 8lb lower....i wanna run somwhere in the 18-19lb range...or can i go more? with my new setup????

since im in Florida...i go to a shop in Orlando (lugo performance) where a tuner for diablo comes out and tunes some L's....i was wondereing weather to stick with him or maybe go to a L tuner who knows more about high hp trucks..maybe REM?? any recomendations????

also is there anything i might want to add/remove from my list of parts from above....my current mods are below...thanks guys

4lb lower
KB w/ 3.5 upper
single blade T/B
NGK Br7's
170thermo
Rancho bars
90mm mass air/12'' filter/volant inlet boot/custom ram air
hoosier slicks
diablo chip

Willie's reputation is unquestionable, however lugo's is.

if i were you

I would stick with lugo, they are a pretty well respected tuner. I went to a mustang shop in orange park and had some parts on my lightning put on, and they had a black lightning with a kenne bell on it and they were taking it to lugo, they owner of the shop, Sean, said that he was a good tuner. If you havent had any problems with your old tune why not go back. FYI i have heard some bad things about REM and their tuning.

I would Deff go to R.E.M. The motors they are producing are awsome. I will have some good numbers to post after breakin and I am only running the eaton. With the KB and what you are doing, you shold be low 11's and Poss 10's. The motors they are now building are very smooth and quiet!!!!

Doesn't Mustang Specialties build the REM motors?

I would stick with having Willie form Diablo tune it, unless you want a Jerry File, you can email me for more info on that.

Thumbs up REM

Good luck Leo, I'm sure they'll take good care of you. I've had nothing but good things to say about their parts and service, John H

You shouldn't have any problems running an 8lb lower and 2lb upper once you get your engine. That's the combination I'm running with a JDM built engine and seeing 21lbs of boost with a Magnum Powers blower.

The MP has gotten me in the 1.5X short times now.
