Undercover tonneau

I bought an Undercover tonneau over the weekend and am very happy with it. The fit is perfect, it is watertight and weighs only 50 lbs.
One minor problem...the "keyrings" on the hinges at the back of the cover are very hard to remove, not much room to work with there, anybody else have this problem?

It helps to pry it open with a small screwdriver, knife, etc.

I don't particularly like the "rings" myself and will probably look for some kind of a fancy, colored pin to replace it with. Of course, I don't ever plan on removing my cover as I have a 8X10 utility trailer for when I need to haul something larger. Other than the rings I really like my Undercover though!
