shaker with stock hood?

Has anyone tried to do a cut out and a shaker scoop through the stock hood? It could combine the look and possibly function of the aftermarket hoods and the light weight of the stock aluminum.

hood

zzapp, I thought about it, spoke to a couple body guys I know, I was told the concern would be the integrity of the alum. hood after removing such a large section. It could be done with reinforcing the hood but weight and cost will go up!!! goodluck!

I thought about it as well. The problem is that the air flows
through the shaker scoop, then through the mid section of the hood. The air flows to the air-aid filter box from there.
