Truck cut off going down the road....HELP!!
Guys,
I need your help. I just recieved a custom tune for my Predator a few days ago. I won't say who did the tune, but you guys may already know who it was. I'm not trying to bash this tuner, I asked for this custom tune to get rid of the detonation I was having at the track.
Here are the parameters for the custom tune I recieved:
- WOT Shift Points RPM: 5400
- PT (Part Throttle) Shift Points: +2 over factory
- Shift Pressure: FACTORY
- Shift Duration: -100ms on the 1-2, and 2-3, and -50ms on the 3-4
- Torque Management (aka Torque Reduction) is: OFF
- Boost Bypass is: OFF
- Intercooler Pump Enable/Disable Temps: -20 degrees from factory
- Idle Speed: 660 (60 more than factory)
- COT (Cat Over Temp): OFF
- Max Timing in upper rpms is: 16 degrees on tune1 (everyday file; 93 octane) and 20 degrees on tune2 (RACE ONLY; MUST USE 100 OCTANE!!!).
- Fuel: You should be around upper 11's to 12.0 on the a/f on the files.
Please listen out for ANY pinging/detonation, and if you hear any whatsoever let out of it immediately (not saying you're going to get any, but I always do state such for safety reasons)! You shouldn't have any problem with either file, however. Let me know if you need anything adjusted.
Well, I installed it and immediately noticed that when the tranny shifted from 1-2 and 2-3, it seems like it hesitates for a split second, then goes into gear. I took off from a stop light tonight at about 1/2 to 3/4 throttle. At the 1-2 shift, the truck cut off and I had to crank the key over to start the motor back up. It started back up with no issues. As I stated before, I got the tune to alleviate the detonation I was having under full throttle. The truck shifted very smoothly before, (with the "Performance Tune" that comes with the Predator. My mods are simple: K&N panel filter w/ custom cold air intake, and the Predator.
Guys, what do you think is the problem?? I'm pretty sure it has to do with these parameters:
